Hi

After a successful installation of ad-aware 2007 personal on System running Windows Vista and Windows Live One Care;

i start a “smart scan” and at the end of the process a error message appear:
________________________________________________________________________
An error has occurred in Ad-Aware 2007 Pro!
Component:
TVirtualStringTree

Message:
Canvas does not allow drawing

Send this information to Lavasoft Support Team (https://secure.lavasoft.com/support/supportcenter/) and also what you just did to help us track down this error.
Ad-Aware now terminates.

Hi
I hope this is not the way to post this but i have the same problem{s} as the OP .
But will AW 2007 work with 64 bit Vista is one of my questions ?
When i installed it it said i had 62 hits and AW personal hit with 112 .
AW 2007 would not let me remove any of the 62 hits ,
AW Personal remove all of them but not the 62 hits .
Is there a log i can post here that may help with this problem{s}
And i am sorry if i posted wrong here unsure.gif
Thanks biggrin.gif

I got around this issue by disabling desktop composition in the compatibility tab:

Having said that, Lavasoft seem to have invented a wonderful new range of errors - at this moment, my opinion of this product is: unmitigated disaster.

Sorry, guys blush.gif
please look to 'system requirements -- ' Vista' is not compatible yet !
Some vista machines only make trouble in aero-style so try this:
>switch to windows classic style > run your scan and do what's recommend > close AAW2007 > switch back
to aero.
rolleyes.gif I hope this could help you

I have also encountered the same problem, with the error message that talks about 'drawing on the canvas". The Ad-Aware 2007 application works well until the scan is complete, when I try to move to the next step (the third step), this problem continually appears. I am using Ad-Aware 2007 version 7.0.1.3 and Microsoft Vista Business.

I have attached a screen-shot.
