Hi there,

My parents' computer is confused. It has been really slow for some time now (app. 1 year I guess) and it has recently been infected with some malware. I ran a scan with Panda Titanium in Windows safe mode and after the reboot a scan with an up to date Ad-Aware.

As the computer has been slow for a long time (boot time of 8 minutes), I suspect it could have something to do with a hard drive defect. But I still have hopes it's caused by software. And I figured that software errors are fixable and if something is fixable, you guys can do it.

I took the liberty of creating a HijackThis log and posting it here. I'd very much appreciate it if someone would take a look at it and tell me how messed up this computer is.

And that's the same I think as I see your log.
In anyway, there's nothing suspicious here.
I have seen numerous problems with computers (especially the slow system) when Panda Titanium is present.
And I guess this is the same issue here.

So, the only way to find out is to uninstall Panda and see if that "fixed" the problems.
I know you need Security software present, but if a Security Suite won't run properly on a system, the best thing you can do here is to replace it with another one.
