I use Ad-Aware SE Personal Build 1.06r1. Definitions file SE1R170 14.05.2007 is loaded. Since yesterday this program freezes at the end of each scan. I cannot quarantine MRU's at the end of the scan as I normally do. Instead, the entire program freezes and no part of it responds. I must use Ctrl+Alt+Del to bring up Task Manager to close down the entire Ad-Aware program. Why is this occuring? What should I do to correct the problem?
My Operating System is Windows XP (home edition) including Service Pack 2 (all preinstalled). My computer is a TOSHIBA P35-S609 Satellite. unsure.gif

I am also using Windows XP (home edition) including Service Pack 2 and last night I downloaded Ad-Aware SE Personal Build 1.06r1 (same as Wayne's) with definition file SE1R172 22.05.2007 loaded (different). I started a full system scan last night and it locked up on one particular registery entry (a Norton AV one). I tried again and it kept locking up on the same entry. I then reduced the specifications down to only scan files and it keeps locking up on a .pdf file (the same one every time). When I open File Manager it shows it is "running" under applications (normally if there was a problem it would say "not responding"), but when I look at the processes there is no change in the memory usage, which always changes if a program is performing any functions beyond just being open, and the Ad-Aware screen shows an hour-glass when the mouse pointer is over it and is stuck on one file.

I really enjoy Ad-Aware, having used it for years on my other computer (along with Ad-Watch, which I do NOT have going on this computer yet) and would really appreciate help from Lavasoft in fixing this.

Thank you!
