I recently purchased your personal Firewall software and it will not install. I use Vista and I thought that might be the problem...
It asks for OMDC software (I think that was it) but even after I installed it it would not recognize it.
Then when I clicked the box to install without it, there is a read error and the installer shuts down leaving the software not fully installed.
Ad-Aware works fine and so I thought that the firewall software would as well.
Is it not supported with Vista (32 bit)?
If not can I get a refund?

According to the system requirements page, Vista version is not ready yet.

lordpake is correct - the Lavasoft Personal Firewall is not Vista ready yet as noted in the link he provided.

Contact the Customer service Center for details on how to request a refund.

Where did you purchase your product? (the the online store at Element5? Or at a retail center?)

I just bought the Personal Firewall together with ad-aware and did not know that it is not compatible with Vista yet.

I don't want a refund but I want to know if I will be automatically notified when a vista compatible version become available. It would kinda suck if I would have to check for myself if a compatible version is available or not.

There is this note posted in the Products section for the LS personal firewall:

Note: Lavasoft Personal Firewall 2.0 is not Vista ready. All valid licenses will be upgraded to the Vista compatible version for free upon release.

I'm not sure how they plan to inform users, but I expect you will see it posted in the Announcement section of this forum. It may also appear in the Lavasoft Newsletter if you are subscribed to that:
