I did a scan with the NoAdware and these are files that were detected. I have Xoftspy, Adware SE, PC On point and none of them detected these files. Can anyone tell me where I can get a FREE removal of these. I paid for all three of the above and they don't do it. I called Stopzilla Technical Support today and they told me they are working on finding a way to remove these with the earliest projection being this friday. This problem all started with Spylocked.

I jus did a system restore back a couple of days and all appears normal. Is this a fix? Or is the virus still running in the background?

there are lots of programs that you can use for free in addition to ad-aware se..

"superantispyware".. i would recommend that you install either the free or pro version of "superantispyware" and do a scan with it.. here is the website:

http://www.superantispyware.com/

there also is a "superantispyware" forum if you need help..

"a-squared antimalware".. you could install either the free version or the paid version and do a scan with it.. here is the website:

http://www.emsisoft.com/en/

"spyware doctor".. this program is kind of "if-fy", to me, but you could install it and do a scan with it, if you want to.. i have "spyware doctor build 4.1" installed.. to be on the safe side, i would not install spyware doctor 5, but use spyware doctor 4.1, instead.. here is the webpage for "spyware doctor build 4.1":

http://www.pctools.com/spyware-doctor/version4/

if the other programs do not flag the same items that noadware is flagging, i would not worry about that and i would disregard the noadware scan-results..

in the future, you should be careful not install any bogus "codecs" that might contain malware..

you can delete cookies.. in IE, go to "tools"/options/ and, on the "general" tab, click "delete cookies"..

Thanks for responding to the thread. I was viewing some car clips of 1/4 mile racing sent from a buddy of mine when the Media Player popped up a message stating it was an unsupported format and I needed a Codec to view the clip. Stupidly, I downloaded the Codec and was zapped with Spylocked.

I have since done a System Restore, I went back to the date prior to the download and my PC seems to experiencing no ill effects any longer.

Is this the purpose of System Restore?

Since I am experiencing no problems any longer, can I assume the Spylocked download and all of its componenets have been deleted?

I'm no computer wiz ,,, that's why I'm inquiring on this point.

if "system restore" fixed everything for you, then i wouldn't worry..
