Full Version: System Reboots when Ad-Ware SE tries to unload services.exe while scanning?!

HI!
Sorry for invading the prior post, but I am a newbie and am learning how to create new trouble tickets.

At any rate, I am having a problem with Ad-Ware SE, of late. I, too, did a windows update and it installed the Windows Genuine Advantage was installed--may be unrelated, but, here is what happens when I run Ad-ware Professional SE (most current version--build 1.06R1):

As soon as As-ware encounters and tries to unload services.exe, bang, it gives some kind of fatal error of 0 (zero) and starts a count down to reboot in 60 seconds?! Ad-ware continues scanning in the background as if nothing happened, but the countdown continues, and Ad-Ware is forced to exit once the system reboots without having completed its scan.

Bottom line, there are no viruses that Spyware Doctor, Webroot's Spy sweeper, NoAdware v4, or Bit Defender Professional (I got rid of Norton Anti-virus a while ago as it slows down my system...replaced it with Bit Defender and love it!) can find on my drive--I get a clean bill of health!!! Moreover, if I do the following:

Options (cog-wheel)
Tweak
Expert and then uncheck (make the green checkmark a red X) “Unload unrecognized processes & modules during scan"

Then Ad-Ware works just fine, finishes the scan, and doesn't reboot?! Furthermore, it doesn’t find any viruses/adware (merely tells me that NoAdware v4 is/has a potential hazard/threat dll--which it turns out should NOT be deleted as it UNREGISTERS the already registered version of NoAdware v4 and you have to re-register it--better to just add it to the "ignore" list!)

What gives? I would prefer not to eliminate the option of unloading the unrecognized processes, etc., etc., as this might compromise the utility of Ad-Ware.

Thanks in advance with your time, attention, and patience with my request!!!!
