I tried to download the free version of AdAware SE personal from Download.com. When I clicked the download icon I was immediately taken to "Next Steps," explaining how to install, etc., without getting any window asking me to run, save, or whatever. Did a search on my C: drive for the .exe file aawsepersonal.exe and don't have it.

I have Windows Defender on my PC and found a website advising to download multiple free spyware detection software including AdAware SE Personal to detect spyware problems. Is this OK to do?

When you go to download now and nothing happens check above see if your browser added a security block -right click to see the download file tab. Or maybe your firewall is blocking it. I think the first on should work. Good Luck

Let us know if you still have problems with this download location.

Since Ad-Aware SE Personal has no real-time protection components, there should be no interaction problems with Windows Defender.
