Open Ad-Aware SE Personal ("Start > Programs > Lavasoft Ad-Aware SE" or click on the Ad-Aware SE icon) - then click on "Help":

Either read through the "Contents" tab to familiarise yourself with the features or search for the assistance that you are looking for using the "Index" tab.

By default, Ad-Aware SE loads with "Automatically quarantine objects prior to removal" selected:

Always keep quarantined items for at least 3 - 4 weeks, so that you can restore them if they are vital components of a legitimate program.

On your "Scan Results" page, right-click an item for more options or double-click to show details:
