Hi,
I'm using XP Home SP2 and have an Admin and a Limited User account on my machine. It appears I have to run my scans on both, is this correct and can it be setup to run globally(scanning both acounts at once)? The scan in the Limited User account has many less Process Modules and Running Processes, but seems to scan the same number of objects as the Admin account. Also, the same thing for updates, I have to download updates in the Admin, then logoff that, log onto the Limited User account, and update that one.
Also, is there way/place to check that my Ad-Aware is configured the best way, regarding scans and how it handles things that it finds?
Thanks for your time,
patmac

The admin account will have full access to both accounts (including regsitry) the limited account will have access to all files system (most readonly), and no access to files in the admin account's folders, and no access to the admin account's regsitry.
So, a scan from the admin accound should get most things.
The update file should apply to both accounts, what OS are you using?

I'm running XP Home SP2. You say the file update "should" apply to both accounts, but I have verified it doesn't, at least on my system. Also, when you say "a scan from the Admin account should get most things", I'd prefer it got everything. Is there something in the installation config that let's you cover all users? I installed Ad-Aware long before I started playing with multiple accounts. Thanks.

Just double checked what I said above about it not updating both. I was wrong, updating on the Admin account does update the Limited User account.
