downloaded adaware se to my xp pro (sp2) notebook. ran install wizard ok . got updates, and ran initial scan fine. when i try to start from desktop,or exe. file i get this error. ( windows cannot access the specified device,path,or file. you may not have permission to access the item). I have had adaware on this machine before with no problems. during install I selected anyone that uses this computer can run this . have downloaded and triied multiple times with same error message.

I cannot download a new program. I cannot update the old program, which is 36 days old now. I have all of the above same problems. Why can't this be fixed by the company by this time. With so many complaints and still nothing being done. Please respond to me. What is the problem that can't be fixed by now?. Jan
