I see Bearshare installed. If you are using the free version, I strongly recommend you uninstall it, because it's bundled with spyware.
* Start HijackThis, close all open windows leaving only HijackThis running. Place a check against each of the following:

- Doubleclick qooFix.bat, Close all browsers and explorer folders.
- Choose option 1 (Qoolfix autofix) and follow the prompts.
- Please be patient, it will take about five minutes.
- It will ask to reboot your computer, so please allow it to reboot.
- After the PC has restarted please post another hijackthis log.

PS: I'm searching for bearshare in my program files folder and am not located it. It's also not in my installed programs when I go in through control panel. I'm searching my computer and will keep you posted. I had once installed it about 2 years ago and I thought I had uninstalled it soon after so I'm confused on why it keeps showing up. Again, I'll keep you posted.

If Bearshare is already uninstalled previously, then check and fix next entry in hijackthis as well:
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [BearShare] "C:\Program Files\BearShare\BearShare.exe" /pause
That's ok if you can't print this out - just copy the instructions and save them in notepad instead.

Ok - I did exactly what you said, including checking the bearshare box. I also did the whole brut force uninstaller and qoofix.bat and after I rebooted, I didn't get a message from windows defender telling me the qoologic was here and to remove it! YAY!! I'm hoping I'm all fixed up. Thanks so much!

Hmm, can you disable your Windows Defender? Because it looks like it's interfering with the fix.
To turn real-time protection off
Open Windows Defender. (Click Start, click Programs, and then click Windows Defender.)
Click Tools, and then click General Settings.
Under Real-time protection options, Uncheck the Turn on real-time protection (recommended) check box.
Then click Save.
When your hijackthislog is clean again, please turn on the realtime protection again.
* Start HijackThis, close all open windows leaving only HijackThis running. Place a check against each of the following:
F2 - REG:system.ini: Shell=Explorer.exe, C:\WINDOWS\system32\qfadx.exe

Yes, turn your realtime protection back on now.
In case it gives an alert after you turned it on, allow the changes, because it will see the entries you fixed in hijackthis as an attempt and if you tell Windows Defender to block the changes, it will replace those entries you fixed before.
Anyway, your hijackthislog looks clean now. Qoologic should be gone. Let me know in your next reply.

To keep this clean in the future, I would suggest the following things:
Install Spywareblaster
SpywareBlaster doesn`t scan and clean for so-called spyware, but prevents it from being installed in the first place. It blocks the popular spyware ActiveX controls, and also prevents the installation of any of them via a webpage.
* Avoid illegal sites, because that's where most malware is present.
* Don't click on links inside popups.
* Don't click on links in spam messages claiming to offer anti-spyware software; because most of these so called removers ARE spyware.
* Download free software only from sites you know and trust. Because a lot of free software can bundle other software, including spyware.
Let your antispywarescanner(s) scan frequently and don't forget to update before.
And I do suggest you perform an online virusscan once in a while. (Housecall and/or Bitdefender). Because what one virusscanner can't find another one maybe can.
Also make sure that your virusscanner, the one that is installed on your system is always up to date!
