I have read instructions on getting rid of spylocked from a winXP pc.
Do those same instructions apply to a win98SE pc like mine?

Thanks for nothing guys!
I begged and begged for help on how to get rid of Spylocked off my win98 PC.
I could not follow directions for WinXp PC's as SmitFraudFix.cmd file is not recognised my 98SE.
I did use my Bullguard which identified a virus in C:\Windows\System\oyopu.dll
I could not delete this virus because Windows always said it was using it.
I did manage to delete it in Safe Mode and after rebooting in normal mode the flahing Spylocked icon in system tray was gone.
I followed up with Adaware scans with the latest version and these scans kept freezing midway and I would have to Ctl-Alt-Delete. But I persevered because with each scan I got farther along until it completed the process.
Still, I hate the way I had to slosh through everything all alone with no help and no guidance from you guys just because I am on an old OS.
Thats OS descrimination!
You could have at least dropped me a line sayin' "Gee, we dunno how to get rid of Spylocked off a win98SE PC."
That would have been the honest thing to do and I wouldn't have been left hanging.
Pissed off and abandoned in my hour of need!
But spylocked free (I hope) no thanks to you!

You do realize that most of the helpers in this forum are volunteers and no-one can spend 18 hours a day 7 days a week helping everyone. I just read both of your posts in this thread just now (having just gotten to it) had you still needed help I would have attempted to help you. Your first post was mixed in a thread where 4 other people were asking about 5 different computers.
