Hello,efrz09 & Welcome

First could you update your Java for me, also I have some tools for you to download
install and run. then show me all logfiles.

----------------

Please download SUPERAntiSpyware Home Edition (free version)
Install it and double-click the icon on your desktop to run it.
It will ask if you want to update the program definitions, click Yes.

( Don't run just Yet )

----------------

Please download ComboFix and save it to your desktop.

( Don't run just Yet )

----------------

You're using an outdated version of Java (latest one is Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6u1 ). Please update and remove the older versions. Do the following:
Go to Start | Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs
Search in the list for all previous installed versions of Java. (J2SE Runtime Environment.... )
It should have this icon next to it:
Select it and click Remove.
Then download and install the newest version from here (scroll down to find it):
Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6u1.

( Do a reboot )

------------------

After reboot run this tool here.

Under Configuration and Preferences, click the Preferences button.
Click the Scanning Control tab.
Under Scanner Options make sure the following are checked:
Close browsers before scanning
Scan for tracking cookies
Terminate memory threats before quarantining.
Please leave the others unchecked.
Click the Close button to leave the control center screen.
On the main screen, under Scan for Harmful Software click Scan your computer.
On the left check C:\Fixed Drive.
On the right, under Complete Scan, choose Perform Complete Scan.
Click Next to start the scan. Please be patient while it scans your computer.
After the scan is complete a summary box will appear. Click OK.
Make sure everything in the white box has a check next to it, then click Next.
It will quarantine what it found and if it asks if you want to reboot, click Yes.
To retrieve the removal information for me please do the following:
After reboot, double-click the SUPERAntispyware icon on your desktop.
Click Preferences. Click the Statistics/Logs tab.
Under Scanner Logs, double-click SUPERAntiSpyware Scan Log.
It will open in your default text editor (such as Notepad/Wordpad).
Please highlight everything in the notepad, then right-click and choose copy.
Click close and close again to exit the program.
Please paste that information here for me with a new HijackThis log.

----------------

Followed by running this tool.

Double click combofix.exe and follow the prompts.

When it's done running it will produce a log for you. Please post that log in your next reply.

Important Note - Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running. That may cause it to stall.

------------------

And as said above come back here with all logfiles.

oh and i know which file i downloaded that caused me all these problems..if that helps...
efrz09
but like i see several things popping up like Vundo or virtumonde..and everytime i start windows and log into my file a thing from Mcafee pops up saying found a trojan.. Vundo.dll.......... i do regedit delete some of the things but it keeps coming back...... i've tried everything... a list of programs that ive tried that HAVENT fixed it.

1. FxVMonde from symantec
2. FixVundo from symantec
3. CCleaner
4. SmitfraudFIX
5. VundoFix
6. Ad Aware 1.06 SE
7. Combo Fix
8. Killbox
9.Spybot Search & Destroy
10. Super ANTI spyware

spybot found some unusual things like smitfraud toolbar 888... etc.
im am clueless of what is happening..and i have no idea on how to fix it .. its been my 3rd day trying to do this. sad.gif

Hi,efrz09

Umm hmm ok I will try once more here, but it seems like your not trying to hear me.

First I asked you to get this done.

---------------

After reboot I asked you to do this here.

Please download ComboFix and save it to your desktop.

Double click combofix.exe and follow the prompts.

When it's done running it will produce a log for you. Please post that log in your next reply.

Important Note - Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running. That may cause it to stall.

---------------

And last come back here with a new HijackThis logfile and ComboFix log

well 1 good thing....

i found the hidden file which was causing my popups to occur..hopefully theres not another..and it might be the file that also makes vundo appear each time i start my computer..when mcafee pops up with a warning saying it found a trojan.

the file was named.. pmnnoli.dll it took VundoFIX to delete it because looking for it in system32 manually doesnt work..it doesnt show..but when u do ctrl+f and click on files in system32 and search up pmnnoli.dll i see it..but it wont let me delete because it says its in use..but in the end i restarted in safe mode..went to killvundo.bat and typed in C:/WINDOWS/system32/pmnnoli.dll

then it poped up with HJT log and i saw O2 pmnnoli.dll (filemissing) and winlogon run pmnnoli.dll(filemissing) i checked them both and clicked fix. and in the other scans i did they are gone.. BUT i have still some problems that Ad-aware and spybot: search & destroy come up with ill list them below:

AD_AWARE:

it comes up with MRU lists & Tracking Cookies

Hi,efrz09

Nice work now I need you to run these tools in Safe Mode

Please print out or copy these instructions to Notepad as the internet will not be available to you at certain points of the removal process (whilst in Safe Mode). If there's anything that you don't understand, ask your question(s) before moving on with the fix.

--------------

I can see you have this first tool installed make sure to update it first.

• Please download and install Superantispyware
1. During the installation process, the program will prompt you to download any updates, click Yes
2. After the update process has completed, a dialog box will state: Database definitions have been updated, click OK
3. At the SUPERAntiSpyware Main Menu, click the Preferences button,
4. Click the General and Startup tab, under Start-Up Options, uncheck these two boxes: Start SUPERAntiSpyware when Windows starts and Show SUPERAntiSpyware icon in system tray
5. Click the Hi-Jack Protection tab and, under Home Page Protection, uncheck these two boxes: Display notification when home page changed and Protect home page from being changed. Changes can be made only here.
6. Click Close at the bottom of the page.
7. Exit the program.
Do NOT run SUPERAntiSpyware yet.

------------------

Please download VirtumondoBegone to your desktop. This needs to be run in Safemode

( Don't run just Yet )

------------------

Restart your computer in Safe Mode.
  1. If the computer is running, shut down Windows, and then turn off the power.
  2. Wait 30 seconds, and then turn the computer on.
  3. Start tapping the F8 key. The Windows Advanced Options Menu will appear. If you begin tapping the F8 key too soon, some computers display a "keyboard error" message. To resolve this, restart the computer and try again.
  4. Ensure that the Safe Mode option is selected.
  5. Press Enter. The computer then begins to start in Safe Mode.
  6. Login on your usual account.
If you need further assistance with Safe Mode, see Symantec

-------------------

Run this tool here first.

• Open the SUPERAntiSpyware program.
1. At the SUPERAntiSpyware Main Menu, under Scan for Harmful Software, click the Scan your Computer button, and the SUPERAntiSpyware Scanner menu will appear.
2. Make sure under Scan Location that your correct hard drive letter is checked. The correct hard drive letter should automatically be checked by default.
3. Under Complete Scan, click Perform Complete Scan.
4. At the bottom, click Next, to start the scan.
NOTE: This scan is very thorough. It will take a while to complete depending on the number of files and folders on the hard drive. Please be patient.
5. Click finish and you will be taken back to the main interface.
6. Click Preferences and then click the statistics/logs tab. Click the dated log and press view log and a text file will appear.
7. Copy and paste the log into your reply.

-----------------

Followed by this tool here.

Doubleclick on VirtumundoBeGone.exe and follow the instructions.

Do not worry if you see a BLUE SCREEN "Fatal Error" Message, it is normal and expected.

When it has finished, reboot and post the log that is created on your desktop called VBG.TXT in your next reply.

------------------

After running the tools and a reboot come back here with a new HijackThis logfile also the scan results
from VBG.TXT and SUPERAntiSpyware

Also a back screen named System Security Status Warning, with a http://asafetylist.com/ address. I ran your program and cannot get rid of this pesty message and I also ran AVG Anti-Virus and Tweak Now Regestry Cleaner. I cannot log into my msn.com. I takes me to a Security Alert page.
Please let me know how I can correct this problem.
Thank you.

Hi,efrz09

--------------

Spyware Doctor's OnGuard protective functionality may interfere with certain HijackThis fixes we need to make. Please follow these instructions to disable it:

To deactivate Spyware Doctor's OnGuard Tools

1. From within Spyware Doctor, click the "OnGuard" button on the left side.
2. Uncheck "Activate OnGuard".

You can reenable it once your system is clean.

--------------

Well let's try and run this tool once more

but first delete the folder you have now and download and use this one here.

Download SmitfraudFix (by S!Ri) to your Desktop.
http://siri.urz.free.fr/Fix/SmitfraudFix.zip Extract all the files to your Destop. A folder named SmitfraudFix will be created on your Desktop.

( Do not run just YET )

--------------

Restart your computer in Safe Mode.
  1. If the computer is running, shut down Windows, and then turn off the power.
  2. Wait 30 seconds, and then turn the computer on.
  3. Start tapping the F8 key. The Windows Advanced Options Menu will appear. If you begin tapping the F8 key too soon, some computers display a "keyboard error" message. To resolve this, restart the computer and try again.
  4. Ensure that the Safe Mode option is selected.
  5. Press Enter. The computer then begins to start in Safe Mode.
  6. Login on your usual account.
If you need further assistance with Safe Mode, see To start the computer in safe mode

-------------

Open the SmitfraudFix Folder, then double-click smitfraudfix.cmd file to start the tool.
Select option #2 - Clean by typing 2 and press Enter.
Wait for the tool to complete and disk cleanup to finish.
You will be prompted : "Registry cleaning - Do you want to clean the registry ?" answer Yes by typing Y and hit Enter.
The tool will also check if wininet.dll is infected. If a clean version is found, you will be prompted to replace wininet.dll. Answer Yes to the question "Replace infected file ?" by typing Y and hit Enter.

A reboot may be needed to finish the cleaning process, if you computer does not restart automatically please do it yourself manually.

When back in Normal Mode, click Start>Settings>Control Panel>Display>Desktop>Customize Desktop>Web and uncheck "Security Info" if present.

Please post the newrapport.txt log along with a new HijackThis Log in your next reply.

---------------

After reboot update SUPERAntiSpyware and then run it as well, come back here with all logfiles.
