I did exactly what was recommended and the updates were properly downloaded. However, when I open the program it tells me updates are "5 days old"... When I click to update, it comes back saying " no new updates"...
This happened all the time with my older version also.
Any ideas?

Hi Fred,

Open Ad-Aware SE, click on the "Configuration Cog" and under "General Settings > Definitions" check that the "Consider Definitions Outdated" box has at least the (default) 14 days selected:

If it does have that setting and you are still getting the out-of-date reminders when you start the program, try changing the number by 1 either way and then "Proceed".

You may also wish to use the Automatic Update feature in the Startup Settings:

Although the Definition Update email lists have been down for some time, you can still receive emials when an update is released by going to the Definition Updates section of the forum, click on the "Forum Options" link (upper right) and select "Subscribe to this forum":

Then select your preferred email notification:

Note that you will also receive an email when a Beta Definition is released (ie: Se1b165 Has Been Released Today For Beta Testing) - unless you are subscribed to the Beta Definitions forum, these should be ignored.
