Updating Ad-aware SE Plus stops at 41% and gives error message. I have tried all recommended things from Forum re "update stopping at 5% (including manual update) and have also re-loaded the program, but still it stops at 41%.

Please help.

What kind of internet connection do you have, and how long does it take to get to 41%?

Connected to Nildram via D-link 108GMimo wireless router. It took about a second or two to reach 41%
However,
I have just loaded Ad-aware again and, for the first time after many attempts giving 41%, I was stopped at 5%.
