I haven't been able to update Ad-Aware SE Personal for the past few days. I have uninstalled and re-installed several times but keep getting an "error retrieving updates" message.....any ideas??

Having same problem here - adding additional info (my particulars):

I went through all suggestions in LS's help page and also uninstalled, re-installed AdAware - same result (seems to have stopped a 5% before error message above.)

I Am running ZoneAlarm ver. 4.5.594 which I did disable also rechecked that Windows firewall is also disabled. Firewall component of Norton Internet Security is also disabled! (XP pro, SP2)

This update problem started sometime after installing a couple of accessories from Microsoft - mainly Windows Defender, don't know if there is any connection. Tried a system restore - did not work.

Hope this additional info will prompt a reply to this thread.
