Hey guys. I've been updating and scanning using Ad-Aware SE pretty regularly. Every time I do the same thing, I turn any "extra" program off so that AdAware scans as fast as possible. I updated the definitions file today and scanning seems to take a few minutes extra.

It might not seem weird to you, but every single time I've scanned, it's always finished within the same time frame. I'm very in-tune with my computer and I always keep track of this to make sure my PC is running at 100%. I can usually tell when something is slowing down my PC. I haven't added anything or done anything different. My PC is still running smoothly and Ad-Aware hasn't picked anything up, neither has my virus scanner.

The Question is: Did the new definitions file cause Ad-Aware to take longer to scan? Or should I be worried about something that hasn't been detected yet? Overall there is no slowdown in performance for my PC, it's just that the scanning takes about 1.5 times as long. And considering I always keep track of how my PC is working, it's making me worry a bit.
