Full Version: Ad-Aware SE freezing up

I have used Ad-Aware for years with no hang-ups. Suddenly this week, after experiencing some problems with my computer, I am unable to finish a full system scan. The smart scan did report one critical object which I removed, but still cannot get through the full scan. What is curious is that I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program twice to no avail and the "freeze" occurs in exactly the same spot. Any suggestions?

Your "Farstone" program seems to have partialy broken your internet access because it removed/was remove from your LSP chain without connecting the links on either side of it. Download LSPFix and click finish to repair your LSP chain, then reboot. The "Farstone" program may have to be reinstalled to restore it's proper function.

Also, run a scan with http://www.gmer.net/gmer.zip (if you have any problems with gmer, uncheck "services" "registry" and "files" and run a new scan [be sure to mention any problems]).
