Scan and when it finishes, put a check mark only next to these following items : (if present)

Close all browsers and any open Windows, making sure that only HijackThis is open

Im sorry, I am new to all this fixing stuff.........My computer was lagging real bad so I downloaded Spyware doctor and then went to uninstall it and now I cant get rid of all the files, it seems to have attached itself to a program or something.........It is a DAT file so therefore I cant delete it.......But the major problem was the serious lag, especially when using skype...........

Ok i see now first do this here

Run HijackThis

O4 - Global Startup: palstart.exe

Close all browsers and any open Windows, making sure that only HijackThis is open
Click Fix Checked
Close HijackThis

Now if you Uninstall it and are having a problme sometime what works
is to re-Install it then uninstall again it may fix it for you.

And would you happen to have the full path to the DAT file

Try this as well

Download & install CCleaner

Please select/download the toolbar-free CCleaner v1.37.456 - Basic or Slim (English-only) version instead of the Standard Build (which will also install Yahoo Toolbar).

Once installed, run CCleaner & select the Windows tab

Select ONLY the options illustrated below (Nothing in Applications tab should be checked):

Next: click Options > click Advanced > Uncheck "Only delete files older than 48 hrs" > click [OK]

Return to Cleaner main then click Run Cleaner (bottom right)

A pop up box will appear advising this process will permanently delete files from your system.

Click "OK" and it will scan and clean your system.

Click "exit" when done.

CCleaner should be run with the above settings in each User Profile! Don't forget to do this.
