I have been using Ad-Aware Person SE with McAfee Antivirus software with no problem at all. I just had to update my anti-virus and so went to a local store and purchased McAfee 2007 Antivirus. I un-installed the older McAfee and rebooted the computer (Win XP Pro). I then proceeded to install the McAfee Security Center and opted to only install the Virus-scan (not the McAfee Firewall or the site informer). I could not install the virus-scan untill I removed Adaware Personal SE although the security center itself did install. Will there be a fix for this problem or will be have to wait for Adaware 2007 ??? If we do have to wait has anybody beta tested an installation such as I have described ??? Thank You.

The problem was created by McAfee in June 2006 (with a patch released by them in September 2006 to correct it) - you are far from being the only person affected by this.

Once you have installed all of the McAfee products that you want and have downloaded all up-dates and patches, you should be able to re-install Ad-Aware SE again.
