I am trying to remove AA (free version) and reinstall as the old copy is faulty and will not update properly. I have done this recently in the past without a problem with the 'add/remove software' feature, but it will not work this time. The old copy cannot be removed. I reloaded AA and specified that the old copy could stay when the installer said it could not take it out and reload a new copy. But, now the new copy isn't updating either. So, I have taken the latest download out, but still have the old faulty copy. My computer tells me it can't removed because it can't find an 'INSTALL' something file. Is there a way I can go to DOS or hopefullly something simpler to get the old copy of AA off of my computer?

I think this problem was created trying to resolve a virus infection, I restored to a date prior the virus infection, turned the restore off and reloaded AA to do fresh scan, then turned restore back on. Obviously I lost something in the process, lol.
