Hi All

I recently updated my anti virus - Kapsersky 5 to version 6 and since then I have had repeated reboot requests by KAV following it updates.

I am using AdAware SE Pro fully updated.

KAV support has suggested that AdWatch could be causing the update 'cycle' to reject a part of its download i.e. it keeps thinking that a module requiring reboot has not been installed.

Well, I have found that with AdWatch the Active and Automatic settings are not sticky in the off mode - every time I reboot I get them back in addition even setting AdWatch not to run at Windows startup fails, it always loads.

So, I have Unloaded it immediately following bootup but I am still seeing the KAV reboot requests - is AdWatch after Unload a TSR program?

Something is obviously a little odd with AdWatch (and AdAware?) in that controlling its loading & unloading is not 'sticky'.

I hope that makes sense and that someone can throw some light on it from the Lavasoft point of view?

Many thanks in advance for any feedback and guidance.

Sounds like ad-watch's configuartion is corrupted, uninstall and reinstall.

TSRs are from the DOS days, they don't function in windows.
