started scan over about 4 times, but keeps freezing up at: Deep Scanning files on C:... Objects Scanned: 124715 C:/ System Volume Information/_restore{ (shows bunch of #'s & letters), It also found 9 New Critical Objects: 9 Files Identified. At this point the scan just sits there without being able remove Critical Objets, non-responsive. Please help me with a solution, this problem just started yesterday.

Hello,donjuan93 & Welcome

1) Did you run scan with an updated Ad-Aware Se if no update now.

2) If an update was done and still have problme what about going in to Safe Mode.?

3) C:/ System Volume Information/_restore{ (shows bunch of #'s & letters)

This is safe as long as you don't do a system restore point that's what
your looking at.so please do not turn off system restore just yet.

Try running scan in Safe Mode like so and show me both the Ad-Aware Se logfile and HijackThis logfile.

Restart your computer in Safe Mode.
  1. If the computer is running, shut down Windows, and then turn off the power.
  2. Wait 30 seconds, and then turn the computer on.
  3. Start tapping the F8 key. The Windows Advanced Options Menu will appear. If you begin tapping the F8 key too soon, some computers display a "keyboard error" message. To resolve this, restart the computer and try again.
  4. Ensure that the Safe Mode option is selected.
  5. Press Enter. The computer then begins to start in Safe Mode.
  6. Login on your usual account.
If you need further assistance with Safe Mode, see Symantec

I had the same exact problem only at 152868. I turned off the restore since I already had GoBack set up. My son was also haveing this problem and I sent him the SAFE MODE fix. That will be a pain in the buttsky tho. This just started with mine and his and we have the same version so it started with one of the later versions. unsure.gif
