It is a good idea to print off these instructions:
This will be useful as there is a possibility some of the instructions will need to be carried out where internet access is not available.
You may also like to save these instructions in word/notepad to the desktop where they can be easily found for the same reasons as above.
A print out of the instructions would be a good reference to make sure you don't yet lost.
Also, it is important that you complete the instructions in the right order, and also that you don't miss any steps out!
If you have any queries about the process or just general questions, just ask.
First a few remarks, your system is infected with a fairly common form of malware. We are going to be using a free removal tool in safe mode a bit later on to hopefully remove it. I see you have Symantec installed, but are you running it on full protection? I only see the updater services running from the Hijackthis log. Is this version of Symantec up-to-date? Have you disabled any of the autoprotection features at any time? Please answer these small questions in your next reply..
Please download SmitfraudFix (by S!Ri)
Open the file and it will extract the contents (a folder named SmitfraudFix) to your Desktop.
Start HijackThis, close all open windows leaving only HijackThis running. Place a check against each of the following if still present:
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {67982BB7-0F95-44C5-92DC-E3AF3DC19D6D} - C:\Program Files\Video ActiveX Object\isaddon.dll
O20 - Winlogon Notify: winexz32 - winexz32.dll (file missing)
O21 - SSODL: carbinyl - {8d8c2387-7f80-4022-9be6-43630a969558} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\gwquvw.dll
Click on Fix Checked when finished and exit HijackThis.
Make sure your Internet Explorer is closed when you click Fix Checked!
Now reboot into Safe Mode.
This can be done tapping the F8 key as soon as you start your computer
You will be brought to a menu where you can choose to boot into safe mode.
Make sure you choose the option without networking support.
Once in Safe Mode, open the SmitfraudFix folder again.
Double-click smitfraudfix.cmd.
Select option #2 - Clean by typing 2 and press "Enter" to delete infected files.
You will be prompted : "Registry cleaning - Do you want to clean the registry ?"; answer "Yes" by typing Y and press "Enter" in order to remove the Desktop background and clean registry keys associated with the infection.
The tool will now check if wininet.dll is infected. You may be prompted to replace the infected file (if found); answer "Yes" by typing Y and press "Enter".
The tool may need to restart your computer to finish the cleaning process; if it doesn't, please restart it into Normal Windows.
A text file will appear onscreen, with results from the cleaning process; please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply.
The report can also be found at the root of the system drive, usually at C:\rapport.txt
Warning : running option #2 on a non infected computer will remove your Desktop background.
Also post a new Hijackthis log.

It is a good idea to print off these instructions. There is a possibility some of the instructions will need to be carried out where internet access is not available. It is important that you complete the instructions in the right order, and that you don't miss out any steps.
I see you have Symantec installed, but are you running it on full protection? I only see the updater services running from the Hijackthis log. Is this version of Symantec up-to-date? Have you disabled any of the autoprotection features at any time? Please answer these small questions in your next reply..
You are using the BitComet p2p file sharing program.
This is not technically malware by itself, but it installs malware in order to run properly.
It also opens the door for every other nasty program you can think of.
I strongly recommend that you remove it from your computer.
Read this article for alternatives that will provide some of the same function without the garbage:

Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs.

Create a folder for RegSearch on the C: drive called C:\RegSearch. You can do this by going to My Computer then double click on C: then right click and select New then Folder and name it RegSearch. Extract all the files from the zip archive into that folder.
Open the RegSearch folder and double-click the icon for RegSearch.exe to launch the program.
Copy / Paste the following line into the top Search Box:
8d8c2387-7f80-4022-9be6-43630a969558
then on the second line down paste the following:
carbinyl
Now hit OK. After completion Notepad will be opened with all the found instances of the string. The resulting file is saved in the same location as RegSearch.exe.
Please perform this online scan: Kaspersky Webscan
Read the Requirements and Privacy statement, then select "Accept"
A dialogue box will appearing asking "Do you want to install this software?" Name: kavwebscan_unicode.cab
Select "Install" to download the ActiveX controls that allows ActiveScan to run.
When the download is complete it will say ready, click "Next"
Select a target to scan: Click on "My Computer"
When the scan is complete choose to save the results as "Save as Text"
Post the Kaspersky scan results in your next reply, along with a new Hijackthis log.
Also post the regsearch log. David
