Full Version: Why do I get the same old cookies/trackers?

Every time I scan with Ad-Aware SE the same old cookies/trackers are detected. I delete these but they're soon back.

Things like my name@cdrevolver(2).txt, my name@bizrate.co, my name@indexstats, my name@revsci.txt, my name@stat.dealtime.txt

These seem to appear as soon as I connect to line even before I have gone to any specific site.

Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

Paulo.

Paulo, I may be having the same problem. Please see my posts under the topic "ghost cookies". So far I have not been able to resolve the problem, but please let me know if you find a fix. Likewise I will let you know if I find anything. Rgds, Bill Williams

As advised in Bill Williams' own Topic ( http://www.lavasoftsupport.com/index.php?showtopic=5981 ), I am investigating further.

Will get back to you both.

Regards,

Spike

Hi Bill,

I have loaded Spywareblaster and founed that this helps quite a lot to stop tracking cookies etc. Here is the link to download it.

Let me know how you get on with it.

Paul
