Well, I can relate to some of what you all are saying but my problem with Ad-Ware is slightly different. Each time I have run the program on my system which uses the operating system, Windows XP Professional my drop down menu on the Google page is erased. I have checked the History days on my Internet Options on the Control Panel which is set at 10 days so I don't understand what is going on. When I ran Ad-Ware on my old computer with Windows Me this did not happen.


Can anyone tell me how to change the settings and where to correct this problem? It is extremely frustrating to go onto the internet and have all my favourite sites that I use on a semi-regular basis gone from this list. I run the Ad-Ware program once a week.

When you do a scan with Ad-Aware, Press *Scan* and on the page that says "Preparing System Scan", deselect the *search for neglible entries*

Those are MRU's (most recently used lists) which includes the items you are missing. Or else just put all the MRU's found on *ignore* Those items are not considered a risk and as you found, some are even useful and a desired feature.
