I've been using Lavasoft AWSE for quite some time but lately I felt it's kind of unstabile and unreliable when it comes to backup'ing files that's vital for the system. Last time I deleted the MRU-lists the system crashed with next startup since a "Registry file is missing".

I don't think the MRU lists really do anything but I want to get rid of them. To make sure for the system no to crash is it enough to Quarantine the MRU-files first and then remove them? I don't feel like reinstalling the system becuase of some mistakes done thanks to a little annoying aspect of this software.

Would the Quratine do any real change or does that just move the files away? What's really happening when I qurantine files?

I would love to get replies upon this, I've been wondering of it for far too long already so fast replies are really needed smile.gif

Hello!

The MRU list is short for Most Recently Used lists and they are the list that keep track of what documents you recently opened etc (an example is the documents folder on your start menu).

The MRU lists will keep on reappearing since Windows will manitain it. This is normal.
