Hello, I am having issues with Ad-aware, when I log into my machine all of the icons look like the attached picture below (Ad-aware Icons), I can't figure out why. I unistalled Ad-aware but I still see these icons.

Ps. I tried to change the icon but no matter what, the ad-ware icon is infront.

Can someone Pleaseee help???

Hi Maveric!

Looks like the settings for the small link arrow for shortcuts have been changed to the Ad-Aware icon. Have you recently used any tweaking software or skinning software for your system?

You should be able to change this setting back by using Microsoft's tweak UI, although it looks like you are running windows 2000 or millennium. If you reply back here with information on what OS you are running I will try look up where you can get tweak UI.

Hello, I am back at work, Ok, I have not used any tweaking software on this PC, It's a Windows 2000 Pro OS. I hope I can fix this since then next step would be to re-install.

Hello again!

I found the tweak UI (powertoys) version for win 2000 at http://www.microsoft.com/ntworkstation/dow...g/NTTweakUI.asp

Please read trough the information on that site. After installing you should be able to change the settings for the shortcut arrow back to the small white one by using this software.

Do you know where this option is at, I can't seem to find it?

Also, thanks for the software, it's pretty cool.smile.gif

Ok, so I am a happy guy today, It finally works, I re-build the icons using Tweak IU and everything is good.

I just wanted to say thanks again to Daniel for his help and investigative skills.

Below is a screen print of what I clicked on so other people can see as well.

Thanks
