i want mcafee virus scan ! i can not download it as ad-aware will not completely remove from my computer. i have tried all the postings i can find. it is not a matter of adding ad-aware back after virus scan is downloaded as i can not download it. please, someone tell me how to get these ad-aware remnants out of my computer. they do not show up in in the registry file.

After all, it was McAfee that changed their software to make it incompatible with both Zonealarm and Ad-Aware SE (previously all had co-existed peacefully) - they have since allowed Zonealarm to be present when installing McAfee.

Some months ago, they announced a patch to allow Ad-Aware to co-exist again. We are not responsible - ask McAfee for a workaround.

Let us know if they are unable to provide any assistance.
