You are more than likely allowing it to remove Most Recently Used MRU items from the registry.

Usually these points are not critical, especially if you are using a firewall.
Do not have Ad-aware automatically remove anything, do it manually.
A common error.

Hi-
Thanks for responding to my first post. About once each week, I scan with Ad-Aware SE. I've tried both the safe and full modes. In either mode, the scanning wipes out all of my previously typed addresses that I had entered since my last scan. When I go into the Ad-Aware options, and look at various things I can check or uncheck, I'm not sure what to do. Any suggestions?

Hi HTM SR-24,

As USHER0001 advised

To stop your MRU's from ever appearing in your scan results, configure your scans as in this screen-shot:

Note that "Search for negligible risk entries" has a Red Cross in front of it, whilst "Search for low-risk threats" has a Green Tick in front of it.

If you set your Full Scan options as shown above, your MRU's will not be detected by the Ad-Aware scan, and so your "previously typed addresses" should remain untouched.

Regards,

Spike
