Hello,
I run Ad-Aware SE's Adwatch constantly to protect against unwanted reg. entries and it works great except for these here - "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\\gnutella.... and HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\magnet. I find these by running NoAdware 4 and was wondering if there was a way I could add them to AdAware's defs.ref so they 'll be blocked.

PS. I attached a log file from NoAdware

Those are legitimate reg keys for magnet links to p2p programs that use the gnutella network. NoAdware has no reason to be detecting them, also, keep in mind that NoAdware is a reformed rogue anti-spyware, so it has only recently reached the bare minimum quality to be considered legitimate. If you don't want your computer to have support for magnet links then stop using programs that support magnet links.

By the way, what is NoAdware detecting the registry keys that tell your computer how to open magnet links to p2p files as?

NoAdware is calling the reg. entries "Dangerous". I imagine that's because they're associated with P2P, I guess.

Thanks for your reply.

ozzyfudd13, when confronted with a finding by any removal software that you do not recognize, it is wise to inquire as you did here. Unfortunately, false/positives do occur with all software programs, and that appears to be the case with what you have run across. Merely because it is a P2P program does not make it dangerous. You can find a list of clean and infected P2P programs here: http://p2p.malwareremoval.com/
