perfoming webupdates with lavasoft Ad-Aware is to my opinion 5 or 4 clicks to much
once one has one has pressed the button for an update than the rest should go automatic to my opinion.
but than the programma requires still 4 or 5 click for the whole operation is over .
this all could go automatic even the availability for an update could go automatic, why all the OK's and finsh just 6 or 5 steps to much!

Hi wil15,

You have two options for updating the Definition Files.

Manually: Click "Check for Updates Now" - click "Connect" - if no updates are available, click "ok" and "Finish" ( 4 clicks). If an update is available, click "OK" to download it and "Finish" when it is done (again only 4 clicks). Hardly an arduous task.

An even easier method is Automatic (if you have a cable/broadband connection) - select the Ad-Aware "Configuration Cog":

In the Configuration Window, select "Startup":

Under "Automatic Updating, make sure that there is a green tick beside "Look for updated definitions on Ad-Aware startup".

That way, it removes any need to "click". When the new Build of Ad-Aware is released in the coming months, there may well be a different method of up-dating. Should you want to suggest this, then perhaps you could post a Topic on the subject in: Forum Suggestions or in Ad-Aware 2006
