I can't change my home page in MS internet explorer. However, I am able to do make the change when booted in safe mode. But, when the computer is rebooted, www.battleon.com comes back. When I noticed that I had problems with my web page, I purchased Ad-aware and it picked up "registry keys" and "registry values". Lavasoft Tech support suggested that I contact you, since they beleive that I may still have either spyware or malware in my system.

Since I have no problems changing my home page in safe mode, there must still be something hanging on somewhere, but I do not where to start looking. I'm guessing that it's probbaly in the registry somewhere.

Ad-watch also detects a registry modification each time I try to make a change to my home page. Unfortunately, it does not manitain the change.

Is your Ad-Watch set to Automatic or Active ?

If it is Auto, it will silently resist all changes to your system, including those that you want (like changing homepage, installing programs etc).

If it is set to Active (as in the screen-shot above), it will restore a window on each identified change - check what the change in the window is ( such as changing your homepage) and you have the option to Accept or Block the change.
