Hi,

I've been getting the attached Web Update error message for two weeks now.

I can't quarentine anything anymore - it just hangs when it gets close to the end of its process (see the other attached file). Leads me to believe the error message is a hijack of sorts.

I've done the "edit the hosts file..." shtick and I've downloaded the defs manually.

Still can't quarenteen the found files.

If, on the other hand, the error message turns out to be truly from Lavasoft, please let this forum know.

A few minutes after posting the above cry for feedback, I ran SE again and waddaya know? the web update and quarenteen functions are working perfectly - first time in two weeks!

I can only presume someone on the team took action and did something magical.
