Hey guys!

Had a party over the weekend, left my computer unlocked, I wake up the next morning to see a bunch of Norton antivirus errors and what not. I restart to find that Norton's auto-protect is disabled, email protection is off, and I can no longer turn it on. I uninstall, install AVG, run a scan and it finds two viruses (this wasn't during safe mode). So it quarantines those. I restart my computer, and I still get this:

The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005). Click on OK to terminate the application.

When my computer tries to start my ATi administration application. Furthermore, all my .NET applications that I compiled get that error as well. I know this is virus/malware related, but am curious how to fix it. I downloaded AdAware (I have Windows Defender installed, a lot of good that did), and I updated to the most recent update. Ran a scan, and it found a bunch of objects, however in the middle of scanning my computer BSOD'd. Not sure what to do at this point. If I go in Safe Mode and run the scan, will it cause a blue screen again? I'm at work right now and ran out of time trying to fix the issue.

Please let me know what I can do to supply you with the necessary information to fix this problem.

BTW, this is XP SP2. I tried a system restore to before the weekend and a week before to no avail.

Cheers all

Alrighty, got rid of a bunch of malware and trojans. Now, I still can't get my compiled .NET applications or my ATi configuration to run, I still get this error:

application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005)
