We have an area for "Resolved Issues". How about an area for "Unresolved Issues" which would be where questions are either not answered at all, or the answer supplied does not resolve the problem.

This area could be examined by the developers of the product for potential product enhancement.

I have an unresolved issue I'd like to post.

as i see it any topic that is not in the "Resolved Issues" part of the forum can be classed as "Unresolved Issues"

My unresolved issue is entitled "Filter doesn't work" in Lavasoft support issues".

I dont see a problem with this, as long as people respect that it will ONLY be an unresolved issue IF every option has been explored... otherwise we may have people wanting stuff in unresolved issues just because they may have been waiting too long for an answer etc...

I wonder if you could do me a favour... could you download something that alters a registry, click "accept" when prompted to do so with ad-watch in manual mode, and see if it is added to your whitelist in your filter; or alternatively test if your "rule editor" works.

If either work would you be so kind as to let me know the settings you have which I can then copy?

If neither works (which I suspect they won't) then perhaps you would be so kind as to pass it on to the Lavasoft Technical team for consideration.

GRAFX
mrblue,
did you use Rule Editor to "Create a new Rule as Corrine posted in your Filter Doesn't Work topic

Yes, I did, and it works perfectly.

Incidentally, I read the Manual and it does infact say that the whitelist Filter does NOT apply to alterations of the registry. Maybe in the next release this could be made clearer in the program itself? Maybe when you press "accept" it should display a message saying that the user needs to create a rule to allow this particular change?
