Hi there we have Ad-aware SE Personal 1.06 r1 installed on a computer and we cannot get the web update to work. I've tried reviewing the settings (which are fine and match those on a computer that can access the updates), uninstalling and reinstalling, I've checked the firewall settings and still it will not update.

As a work around we've updated the definitions manually but I don't fancy doing that everytime the definitions need updating!

A possibly related problem is that once a scan is complete the 'Quarantine' bar comes up and fills up but then appears to crash and doesn't quarantine the files

Any help appreciated - I've tried the solutions listed on lavasoft.com and on the forum but nothing seems to work. Am I missing something really obvious or is there a hidden problem?

I'm going bonkers!
