When I run Lavasoft (which is great) I continuously find items that are in my registry - typically, in Users and Local Machine. In control panel/admin tools you can get to computer services and set up security clearances. Is there a way to completely give myself (and my computer) sole access to these reg. keys? I thought I had my computer set up to notify me when something wants to gain access to the registry, but apparantly I was wrong becuase Adaware still finds stuff here. Does malware tell my computer that it is an administrator? How does it access my registry - also my programs!? If I set up a different user account on my computer to access the internet as a guest (which is a pain if I want to download something) would this stop the problem? How do I gain control over my registry and program access since Ad Aware has shown me that I obviously don't have it now? I've changed browsers (Firefox), have cookie controls set to let me know whenever a cookie wants to set itself so that I can give it permission or block it, etc.

Lavasoft has great addons, can this possibly be some type of addon that could be developed and offered? Also, I wanted to know if Lavasoft could provide an add-on that would allow the administrator/owner to EASILY view when an entry (whatever all the alpha-numeric sequences are called in the registry) was made to the computer. Not when the entry was created and not when the entry was modified. It would be really great if there could be a way to go to the registry and find entries made to the computer within a certain date range. For people that are not tech saavy but can get around on their computers decently well, this would be wonderful guide in reviewing what is on their computer and if whether or not they put it there. Thanks.

When I say "when the entry was created," I mean the date for whenever the original program, part of a program, etc., was originally created.

It sounds like your are describing Ad-Aware Plus with Ad-watch. Have you looked at that?
