Hi there.

Firstly, I apologise for this possibly being in the wrong place but there does not seem to be any sort of topic related to login problems.
I am requesting information on behalf of a new member "oldfogy"

Although he can login to the site, so his username and password must be being recognised, he is unable to reply to any of the posts and also unable to contact by any means at all to request help with this problem as he keeps receiving the message "permission not granted" (or something similar to that).

Since registering he has not received the validation e-mail and has also selected re-send validation on several occasions, but none are ever received.
Which is probably why he is unable to post.

There are NO spam or junk blockers on his e-mail address, so the validation e-mail does not seem to be being sent to him.

Can you please offer some help and advice.
Thanks..
LS CalamityJane
I approved for him. See if he can post now smile.gif

Hi Calamity,
Thanks very much, yes as you can gather it is now working. biggrin.gif

I tried for roughly two days without any success, but unfortunately there does not seem to be any way of contacting unless logged on.
Also there is nothing in the help files to assist with this sort of problem "at least none that I could find"

I only mention this because if it can happen to me, then how many other people may suffer a similar fate and not bother to pursue it?

Maybe Lavasoft (the Forum) might like to look into this as a help topic.

Much appreciated.

{{Hugs}} and a big warm welcome, old fogy. Thank you for your perseverence.

If I knew what the problem was I would certainly post it, but I don't. Sometimes problems with ISPs getting emails through is on the other end - you might want to check with them if they have a problem with this domain. The records show your validating emails were sent.

And we have to have the validating process in place because of the huge amount of spambots that try to get in here each day.

And we have the PM abuse with people wanting to contact staff and helpers for individual assistance on logs - which simply isn't feasible.

In your case, your friend posting for you - I knew you were a live person and could feel pretty safe approving that.

I think I'll move this to forum suggestions in case anyone else has any other ideas.

Hi Calamity.

Having just logged in and finding your latest reply, (no notification received) I decided to change my e-mail address which was previously "SUPANET.COM" to my "Blueyonder.co.uk" account and instantly received the change of e-mail address validation reply from yourselves. rolleyes.gif

So the only conclusion I can assume is that the problem was something to do with Supanet.com. wacko.gif

Thanks once more.

Very good! I thought it might be something like that.

Anyway, am glad to hear you're getting your notices smile.gif
