Im guessing i have some kind of malware or something i really don't know. I've run norton 2006 like 5 times still same as before and spyboy s&d and does nothing to help the problem. I dl'ed ad-aware se freeware and installed dl'ed updates and started scanning and at about 80000 objects it will just reboot my computer without any warning whatsoever, screen goes blank and reboots and everything is fine after reboot, so it seems. At first I thought it might of been glitch, but i ran it again about 4 more times same thing every time. If anyone could please tell me how to fix this problem i would greatly appreciate it. Because it is really bugging me.
By the way I already looke at the topic where it describes what to do if your computer shutsdown i.e. go to system, switch system failures and things like that and then use shutdown -a in the run window, i haven't tried what it says after that but it didn't help.
Plz post asap so I can get this problem fixed.
Thanks

Hi dukeofnoob,

So that the experts can diagnose your problems, it helps to post the logs as set out in my post in this thread:
Andy S http://www.lavasoftsupport.com/index.php?showtopic=3318

As Ad-Aware is being stopped from running in normal-mode, try scanning in Safe-mode (if you are not familiar with this see this Microsoft article for details: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?...kb;EN-US;315222
If you have not booted in safe mode before the screen will look different as Windows is not loading all the Windows components.)

If you are still unable to get an AAW scan to complete, then just post the HijackThis log (v1.99.1)

As the logs are read from oldest to newest, please don't "bump" your post - due to the number of requests for help, the experts are running a bit behind.
Someone will get to you as soon as possible smile.gif

Your patience would be appreciated,

Regards, Spike
