Hi, I don't know if you guys handle hardware problems, but i'm hoping that you can help me with this.

My desktop computer at home's been acting weird for quite a long time. Whenever i turn off my computer, I have problems turning it back on. After countless trial and errors, I finally realised that if i manually disconnected one of my less important hard drives, G:, and tried starting up the computer, it would work. What i did next was kind of orthodox. I just simply manually connected the G: back to the power box while the computer was starting up, and it often worked.

3 months later, my computer starting acting weird agian. It would just shut down by itself every now and then. And just yesterday, I couldn't start up the computer without removing the G:. If i try to connect it manually to the power box, the computer will just shut down again! So currently, I'm running the computer without a G: which sucks cause my music and other work stuff are on it.

I have not much knowledge of computers, but could it be that the power box is faulty? If not, then could it be that somehow, the powerbox can't generate enough power to support the various hardware in my desktop computer? (Thus, i had to remove the G: for it to work). I'm not sure what i should do. Thinking of getting a new powerbox, but i wanna be sure that that's the problem before I do so. Please advice. Thank you.
