i recently tried to download the newest defintion file for ad-aware SE personal. it says something like "definition files could not be read. update again". i followed the steps in the sticky post but no luck. any help? and also i havent been getting any popups and my pc doesnt run any slower and i did numerous scans with ad-aware,spybot,windows defender,and spyware terminator.
What should I do?

Please can you make sure that you are using
Ad-aware SE Build 106
[if not Uninstall your old Ad-aware first then install SE]
But I recommend that you keep trying the WebUpDate to get Latest Definition File
but if you cannot wait a minute longer then you can of cause
always download it
