Full Version: Ad-Aware 8.1 scan stalling due to Norton - resolved

I have a same problem with Free edition.
It's just looping, without doing anything, for several hours.
I tryed uninstalling and Downloading and installing again, but same thing.
It has been 4 hrs and 14 min and it doesn't show anything.
Any sugestions?

Are you also using Ad-Aware 2008? If you have Ad-Aware 2010 version 8.1, I'll move this to the correct forum for 8.1 users.

Yes, I have 8.1.1 version

Anyway I think I found source of my proble, after reading few articles on this site.
I am running Windows Vista and also I have a Norton software, too.
Apperantly there is a conflict with Norton and Ad-Aware.
Since my Norton expired, I simply removed it (uninstalled) from my computer and Ad aware is running again.
