Anniversary Edition (Free) was, and still remains, the finest effort by Lavasoft to date, period.

Smooth, trouble free, and insanely-fast!!! Truly a masterpiece of efficient code that was designed to do a specific task, and do it very well...

Now comes the next heir to the throne, the "new and improved" 8.1.x...and we all loaded her up with great expectations. We even took great care to carefully uninstall the sitting monarch, that was AE, to insure no conflicts would hamper this new dreamware from reaching hither-to unknown levels of performance.

Then, with great anticipation, we double-clicked the new desktop icon (that looked pretty much like the old one...) and.......

We're still waiting........

There is no excuse that this "new and improved version" is causing nose bleeds and blackeyes around the world, and forcing users to install airbags to prevent them from crashing into their displays as their systems suddenly stop while 8.1.x churns through countless lines of deadend calls and rambling code.

I call on all users, paid (which is just as bad) and free, to let your opinions of this huge disappointment be known!

Counterpoints welcome...especially from Lavasoft! ohmy.gif

I'll repeat what I said in your earlier, duplicate post:

For paid users, the most direct method of contact is through Lavasoft Customer Support via the link in my signature. They have email and chat support and keep stats on reported bugs. It's not likely they're keeping similar stats here since they're not directly helping, so can't distinguish real problems from those caused by Norton conflicts, malware, etc.
