I had been running AdAware 2007 for sometime. Never had a problem with it. It said new version available, so I downloaded it. It cannot install the new version because it cannot uninstall AdAware 2007. I've tried using the uninstall for AdAware and manually removing from the XP list of programs. I get a fatal error box. Then, while like going into MSN email or various programs a box displays "unhandled exception" and a bunch of text:

An unhandled exception occured at 0x7C812AFB in aawservice.exe

Doesn't do it all the time, seems to be randomly displayed while using the pc, never had this problem before and I can't seem to get rid of it.

Yes there is sometimes a problem with uninstalling 2007. We always recommend to uninstall before installing another version, normally with Revo.
