Alright, I bought Ad-Aware anitvirus+antispyware Plus. I installed it, and registered i, but windows is not recognizing that i have an antivirus, but it does show that i have the anti spyware portion of the program. My ad watch live is off. I cannot turn it on. It gives me an option in my security tab for windows, but nothing happens. Should i try uninstalling, and then reinstalling the program, or what would be a better way of tackling this issue? Thank you

Hi,

Could you please verify that Ad-Aware is functioning correctly and that Ad-Watch is enabled? You can do this by checking the following settings:

Ad-Aware > Advanced Mode > Settings > Ad-Watch Live! > Detection Layers > both options should be ticked

Ad-Aware > Advanced Mode > Scan > Full Scan > The Anti-Virus Engine should be ticked.

Also, could you check to see if that when you open the Ad-Aware GUI, Windows will then recognise that the Anti-Virus is working?

The reason, I am asking you to do this is that I also have this problem and believe it to be a bug. However, you are the first and only person who seems to also be experiencing it. Could you therefore let me know what operating system you are using (i.e. Windows 7 64bit).

yeah, dude i think we are having the same problem. I am using windows 7 64bit, and where do i check those settings? In adaware itself, or in the program file?

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling casey?

I have and it didn't work. I had this problem in the beta, so I think it's carried over.

Yeah in the program itself smile.gif
