Full Version: Windows 7 (64-bit) Support

Mike...
Now that Windows 7 has been officially released, I feel we can discuss Windows 7 support. Don't think there's any official mention of this, if there is, it has been well hidden.

I doubt Lavasoft would release a new version of Ad-Aware so close to 7's release without having tested it on 7, so I was wondering just how well it works or not...

Personally, I will be "upgrading" from XP to 7 64-bit.

The user manual states Win 7, but doesn't specify 32 and/or 64 bit:

The reason I asked is that this page does not mention Windows 7...

And that's the first time I have looked at the user manual.

Well, guess that's a "go" for Ad-Aware for now.

Yeah it's fine smile.gif

I've been running all the betas on Win 7 64bit and I know Lavasoft support have been too.

CNET may have failed to list it since the new Ad-Aware preceded the official release of Windows 7. Also, it was not listed under the Tech Specs on the Lavasoft products pages - those have now been updated.
