My dad has got a huge issue. i spent 8 hours trying all types of things. i was able to download Adaware, but the malware is preventing Adaware from posting the quaranteen page so that we can execute the recomendation. Malwarebytes wont load, nor will search and destroy.

any help in getting rid of this malware or to get Adaware to run correctly. it also is stalling at the "critical area" scan on Csild's or something like that.

These are 2 separate issues:


Read the instructions in my signature:

1. post a log in the HijackThis forum. Copy/paste or link to this thread to describe the problem, and somebody there can help you with malware removal.

2. submit malware to Lavasoft for analysis - this will help in future definitions and software updates


After you disinfect your computer, you may still have a problem with Ad-Aware scan stalling. It's a known problem with the recently released version 8.1. For scans stalling at "enumerating clsid's", please check this thread for updates.
