I will start from the beginning. things started with random internert explorer windows opening whenever they feel like. so i downloaded adaware and ran a scan......problem solved. then it started again, so i went to run adaware again and now it wont open. when i go to open adaware it says failed to connect to service. I should also mention that I have downloaded hijack this but it will not run either.
please help! I run AVG and it finds 22 spyware items but will not fix them

Hi,
You have to provide some more information about the situation. After what did that problem begin to happen? Do you get any error message?

I left work and after the last scan and log post. then on arrival the next morning my computer was on the screen where it gives you the option to start in a regular boot or in safe mode. so, i figured maybe the power had gone out so i hit start windows noramally. once i do that windows tries to start but about 5 seconds into the boot the pc resets itself and goes back to the boot option screen. I have tried starting in safe mode and it does the same thing
thats all the info ive got. when i left yestarday the computer wasnt acting strange or anything and the last scan (avenger) went fine and I posted the results

Hi,
Did you try last known good configuration -option?
travellingbiker
Oct 16 2009, 11:03 PM
yes - I tried all options listed, start normally, safe mode, safe mode with networking and one other that i cannot rememebr. All options gave the same result, that is they all tried to start windows but ended up restarting themselves

Sounds that there's quite likely repair install option waiting. Do you have your OS media around?
