I have uninstalled and reinstalled Ad-Aware A.E., and when I open the program it remains on the "Loading" screen and never starts the program.
I have not been able to scan this computer for several week now and the virus protection is inactive as well.
Somebody suggested my screen is hi-jacked perhaps or Malware is the cause.
I have been able to do updates, but cannot scan.
Any help would be welcome.

Read the instructions in my signature:

1. submit malware to Lavasoft for analysis - this will help in future definitions and software updates

2. post a log in the HijackThis forum. Copy/paste or link to this thread to describe the problem, and somebody there can help you with malware removal.

This could also be caused by remains of previous installations not being properly removed from your computer.
So if the malware analysis comes out clean then I suggest you download and install Revo Uninstaller and then use it in 'Advanced Mode'
to uninstall all versions of Ad-Aware from your computer and then reboot and reinstall Ad-Aware AE and update.
